The key to haikus are, I think, the juxtaposition of two ideas in one word...Above, the "connections" meaning airplane connections and personal relationships... but, it's a bit clumsy in this one.Some of my more successful haikus that use this are:sexy medusalooks at him seductivelyhe becomes rock hardand:the nudes on the wallat the new art galleryare very well hungI'm always looking for a new double meaning for a haiku, especially if it makes it funny. :)

and:

are very well hung
